Modern Private Guest House; @StayLost near the end of a rural dirt road in the heart of Paradise Valley. The guest house features 1BR, a small living room w/ Full sleeper sofa, a full bath, and kitchen with stove & convection oven. Our setting is classic rural Montana. Enjoy 20 acres with star-filled skies, outdoor fire pit, and spectacular views of the mountains. The perfect base camp to Yellowstone (45 mins.), If more space is needed the 3b/2ba main house is also available.

The space

The guest house was built in 2020 and features modern amenities such as radiant heated floors, washer/dryer, kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, sink and fridge, and a seating area with TV (though you may find it hard to find anything as compelling as the views right out the window. The house is fairly small and is listed for up to 3 guest but is most comfortable for two adults or two adults and 1-2 kids (message if you are a group of 4) The bedroom is semi private. it is separated from the living room with a wall but does not have a door in order to create a more open feeling. A queen size memory foam bed has a great view of the Absorka mountain range. Guest are welcome to explore the whole property and use the fire pit and outdoor bbq area exclusively for the guest house.

Guest access

Parking is available in the driveway about 30 feet from the Guest house door with a small pathway leading you from the parking spot to the door. Note- the dirt road to the house is bumpy. Any vehicle can make it but it will be more comfortable in an SUV. a 4wd vehicle is mandatory during the winter months due to the snow.

Other things to note

The Properties sit on 20 acres of open prairie near the end of a 3-mile dirt road (SUV suggested but not required); 10-15 minute drive. The property, like many, in the area was originally deeded to the Northern Pacific Railroad whom built the first rail connection to Yellowstone in the 1800’s. The railroad largely followed the Yellowstone River, and you can still see some remnants of it as you drive from our place down HWY 89. Prior to the Westerners arriving, the Valley was home to Crow Native Americans who hunted the valleys abundant wildlife. Today, Paradise Valley is one of the 5 gateways into Yellowstone, and is home to ranchers, celebrities, and people seeking the restorative peace and quiet of rural life surrounded by mountains. As mentioned, Yellowstone is a short 45 min drive, Livingston a short 20 min drive, and the infamous Pioneer Saloon 15 min drive. Our property lines aren’t always clearly identifiable. When you arrive there is an overview of where the property starts and ends. You are free to walk around and explore any area of our property while you are here. There is a shared fire pit and grilling area. Our neighbors are quite friendly but we try our best to stay on our own property while walking around.
